This cover cartoon published on the eve of the November 8 presidential election reflects the official neutrality of Harper’s Weekly. Either Republican Theodore Roosevelt (left), wearing his Rough Rider uniform, or Democrat Alton B. Parker (right), wearing his judicial robe, is considered “Good Enough” by Uncle Sam.
