Appearing about six weeks before the Democratic National Convention, this Judge cover by Grant Hamilton lists several conditions that would have to change before soon-to-be presidential nominee William Jennings Bryan could win the White House. The obstacles to be surmounted include: “If Free Silver Was Popular,” “If Anti-Expansion Was Popular,” and “If We Did Not Have Prosperity.” The mighty “IF” is a gate keeping Bryan out of the White House.
